This weekend I had the pleasure of shooting the wedding of my very best childhood friend. Ashley and I have been friends for 20 years and it was so awesome to share this day with her and Preston. Set in the woods just outside a cute little church in Newland, it had the feel of Rivendale in The Lord of the Rings, it felt like a fairytale. Casey + Kristin | Sisters Maternity Duke Gardens
This weekend I had the opportunity to do a unique photoshoot with Casey and Kristin. These two beautiful sisters are lucky enough to be pregnant at the same time and wanted to do a fun photo session together. Kristin’s due in about 3 weeks and Casey only 7 weeks later so they were filled with much joy as they anticipated sharing this experience together. Here are a few shots from Duke Gardens:

This weekend I had the pleasure of photographing two very good friends of ours, Rhianon and Allen, as they celebrated their engagement at Duke Gardens. We met them six months ago at Lifepointe and we’ve been a part of the same small group ever since. They are such an adorable couple, we are so looking forward to their wedding this December in Greenville.
Brook + Chuck Married!! | Raleigh Wedding Photographers
There are not enough words to describe this weekend with Brook and Chuck. They are simply perfect for each other in every way, and are totally genuine in their love for the people around them. They chose a small ceremony so that they could make sure every single person there meant the world to them and everyone poured out their hearts in their love for them. I could be a little biased because I know them and their story a little, but Jason’s words during the ceremony were more heartfelt than any I’ve ever heard, and their vows to each other were bursting with emotion, the whole room was crying, and I was even struggling to take photos through the water in my eyes. :) Such an amazing weekend.
This was my favorite moment of the day. They were so sweet during the First Look.

Leigh Ann + Michael Married! | Wedding Photographers Meredith College
This weekend we had the pleasure of spending time with the sweetest couple at Meredith College. Leigh Ann and Michael they are totally perfect for each other and that shows in everything they do. It was just a joy seeing how their families interacted and how their families talked so highly of them when they weren’t in the room. Michael gave her a beautiful set of pearls before the ceremony and an incredibly sweet four page note, love was certainly in the air. Thank you both for allowing us to experience the day with you!

I almost forgot! A couple months ago I had the privilege of shooting the bridals of one of our dear friends, Chatty. She has one of the purest hearts on the planet, beautiful to the core. She spent a couple years as a missionary in Africa, where she met her husband. They tied the knot 2 weekends ago here in the states. Chatty, we’re so excited for you guys! (And I’m also excited that I finally get to post your bridals) ;)
Jen + Corey Part 2 | Raleigh Wedding Photographers
On Sunday I had the pleasure of finishing up Corey and Jen’s 5 year anniversary session. Getting rained out last weekend gave us some unexpected fun rain shots, but celebrating with their 5 year cake was their original vision. We started at Pullen Park with a spring-y look, then went for the cake. SO much fun.

The incredible monsoon of rain that hit Raleigh this afternoon did not stop this amazing couple from capturing their 5 years together. Corey and Jen are two very dear friends of ours and we were so excited to have the privilege of shooting their 5 year anniversary. Being photographers themselves it was slightly intimidating, and also amazingly easy to capture them, no posing involved, they’re total naturals. :) We had a different plan for the shoot (which you’ll hopefully see at tomorrow’s “Part 2″ shoot), but decided to utilize the rain as an extra bonus. Corey, Jen – as always, it was a pleasure, thank you for letting us celebrate this with you, see you tomorrow!
The Trocinski Family | Raleigh Family Portraits
Today I got to hang out in North Raleigh with the Trocinski Family. What better way to celebrate the arrival of spring than with a fun portraiture session?! In addition to the family portraits we focused on Ryan’s upcoming graduation with a bit of torture…I mean…a few senior shots as well. :) He was willing to put up with just about anything with mom’s promise of his favorite dessert. Gotta love a little family bargaining. Here are a few from the day:
